To all the wonderful acts that performed for us in 2017, we SALUTE YOU! You are our Festival!!
The majority of Acts and Performers that grace our stages receive no recompense for their appearance, many do not even ask for expenses! They do this for a number of reasons.
- To Experience playing on a Festival Stage with a Professional Sound Crew, sometimes for the first time.
- To come to the Festivals and have a brilliant time, just like everybody else, plenty of us work our ticket!
- To gain exposure and promotion for their act and material.
Many of our paid bookings also appear on a greatly reduced fee to help keep ticket prices low and support what we do, many really go the extra mile (or 250) for us or we wouldn’t be able to deliver the show we do.
We think we are on the right track with the first two in the list, the third requires a little more work and that is the aim of the Love Summer Music Site to provide as much coverage as we can. Our Social Media and WordPress Blogs currently go out to approx 8000 people in the UK.
We are also constantly being asked to recommend acts and to provide booking details of acts people have seen out our events. We hope that providing this Showcase and actively promoting it will bring all our acts further business.
To Pull Everything together into one place we bring you:-
Our aim is to add details of all the Performers and Acts that have worked with us in 2017 over the coming weeks, we have some amazing footage and pictures from some awesome gigs

We seek nothing from our Performers and Acts for providing this service, you have already provided the goods by working or offering to work with us. Promotions are a two-way street and we would wish to help you deliver your material and services to our friends & customers all year round not just for a weekend in August.
A great example of a Band that really delivered for us in 2017 is Suburban Symphony, they made a 600 round mile trip to make their debut in the Devon fields at Love Summer Festival 17. Tony Edwards ex front man of Torquay band Pipeline brought his new band Giz,Sam,Tom and Lewis down from there Lancashire base to play on the SuperSonics main stage on Saturday night. The Penultimate band on the bill took to the stage at 10pm and did not disappoint. Their support who traveled with the band to the festival were leading the charge at the front, even in the sound check the band and crowd were bouncing off each other. Local super fan Gladys was overcome with emotion and invaded the stage, it most of took her back to her Bay City Rollers days. The 40 minute set seemed to be over very quickly finishing up with their new release ‘Stepping Stones’ out now on Hilltown records #upthesymphony We really cannot thank you enough, what a gig!. Here’s a few “snaps” our Photographer James Hitchcock took.
